I'm Karen, founder of Real Life Meditation and passionate meditator. Finding meditation has been a wonderful gift in my own life and I'm super excited to now be able to share that gift with others!



I have been meditating for several years, with a range of techniques from guided through to independent, mantra-based techniques. In 2020 I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer and credit my regular meditation practice with helping me to cope with the side effects of surgery, chemotherapy and radiation. In fact, it was during this period that I decided to study to be a meditation teacher and learned a range of techniques from the four key styles of meditation.


It's important to me as a teacher that I am able to teach people how to develop their own personal, independent meditation practice. This means finding the right technique that suits their mind type and that they can practice on their own without requiring any apps, recordings or guided practices. This way, no matter where you are, you always have access to the powerful benefits of meditation.
